With 2011 now starting to fade in to the past we’re focussing on the future. Over the past couple of months we have been freshening ourselves up. The whole interior has now been decorated with a contemporary light and airy feel, nice a clean for the day time, but cosy for those winter evenings still ahead of us with the wood fire in the bar flickering away.
From Peter and the boys in the kitchen you can look forward to a freshly prepared new menu from the middle of the month reflecting our commitment to the best fresh and seasonal produce that is available to us at this time of year. This menu will have the basis of our classic dishes that are enjoyed by so many, dining dishes that can be enjoyed right through the week and a bar menu of simple dishes with classic origins along with our sandwiches and sharing boards for the lighter occasion.
(Please do not forget our Sunday Roasts. With our commitment to fresh quality suppliers our Sundays have really taken off. You have Roast Rib & Topside of Beef, Slow Roast Lamb Shoulder, Free Range Belly of Pork and a Supreme of Chicken to choose from and we serve all day between 12:00 midday and 9:00pm).
Our house real ales of Youngs Ordinary and Special will continue to be supported by a weekly guest ale from Katie. We have some fantastic new Old and New World wines that have been added to our wine list by our wine merchants including a Barbera d’Alba Santa Rosalia, Brezza. This wine is of stunning quality and is rich, but crisp and fruity at the same time. Perfect to enjoy with a hearty meal, or just to enjoy with friends in the bar.
