The Bear offers the best of both worlds: Relaxed informal dining throughout, including barbecue out in the back garden throughout the summer months and a warm sociable bar area.

All our food is freshly prepared on the premises by Peter and his Team in the kitchen. Our menus are seasonal and you can expect to see influences of this in our menus and also our daily specials.

We also offer Private Dining for an intimate occasion with colleagues, friends or family for parties up to twelve. Sundays we offer five home cooked roast dinners with seasonal accompaniments.

In the bar you can enjoy the fine cask ales from the Young's & Co portfolio right through the year. We also stock continental lagers and British craft beers from the Meantime Brewery. Our wine list is extensive and has been recognised by The Academy of Food & Wine Service. For those not wishing for an alcoholic drink we offer fresh juices and hot beverages.
