Our Team...
I have been in the industry for almost fifteen years and I have worked for both multiples and independent establishments in rural, West End, city and in provincial France. I joined Young’s & Co last August here at The Bear and it seems to have gone in a blink.
My passions are simply to not to over complicate what we are trying to do; an old manager summed it up to me in a sentence - simple things, beautifully served.
I could lay claim to all that we do, but that would be unfair and so to introduce those that really make it happen....

As people work hard in their lives it is important that everyone's leisure time is enjoyed to the full! That’s why I believe that it's really important to have a relaxing atmosphere, excellent customer service and a great range of great quality products available. I wish to make people feel welcome whether it's just to enjoy a quick drink after work or for a meal with friends.
I have recently come into the hospitality industry which has been a steep learning curve for me, and I hope I am achieving all that I wish to. I thoroughly enjoy working on the bar meeting and interacting with customers. I hope to see you soon.

After 15 years in corporate IT management, I decided it was time for a change and bought a 26 bedroom hotel in south-west France! After selling the business in France last year, I came to The Bear to continue my career in the ‘managed house’ environment. I have always had a love of good food using excellent local produce freshly prepared and imaginatively presented. To this end, The Bear, with Julian and his friendly team it seemed to be the perfect place to ‘migrate’ to!
